"Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again"
As my final project in my video editing class, I decided to make a music/cover video to my favorite song in my favorite musical, "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again," from the Phantom of the Opera.
I felt this was a great opportunity not only to have fun making a video but also to sing and act.
I put a lot of time and work into creating this project, directing, shooting (which was difficult because I myself was in most of the shots), and editing the video, as well as performing and recording the song and editing the audio. In the end, however, I was satisfied and felt that the time I put into this project was worth it.

"Hope for Post-Abortive Women"
At the beginning of the spring 2018 semester, I met a woman who had an abortion in college. The next several years of her life, she spent "drowning" in depression, confusion, guilt, alcoholism and suicidal thoughts. She told me about the horrific experiences and the suffering she endured. More than once, she tried to take her own life. However, she finally found hope and healing through a Christian post-abortive support group called Deeper Still. Now she is a counselor in this ministry and helps other women, men, and families who have suffered because of abortion.
This courageous young woman inspired me to produce a PSA about supporting people who have suffered because of abortion. Trauma after abortion is rarely addressed by any community, pro-life, pro-choice, religious, or secular, but so many people (especailly on college campuses) are suffering alone because of abortion. I made this video in hopes of raising awareness and reaching out to people in need of help and healing. My friend said to me, "If you can reach even one person, all of this will be worth it."
